Worshiping Together during the Coronavirus Crisis

20 September 2020

Welcome to the Buckingham, Bicester and Brackley Methodist Circuit.

While some of our churches have now re-opened (see below) others remain closed and we fully understand that some people will still not wish to come out and join others in public worship. The Rev Steve Mann, superintendent minister of the Buckingham, Bicester and Brackley Methodist Circuit, will therefore continue to broadcast a Sunday morning service. To join today’s service please click HERE (note the service will be available to watch at any time through to next Saturday evening).

Rev Pat Olivent-Hayes, minister at Brackley, Silverstone and Towcester, is offering a weekly ‘Thought for the Day’ which is published on the Brackley Methodist Church website (click here) where you can also catch up with a regular Blog from Mission Outreach Worker, Malcolm Bromhall (click here).

A Prayer by the President of the Methodist Conference The Rev Dr Barbara Glasson:

Loving God
If we are ill, strengthen us
If we are tired, fortify our spirits
If we are anxious, help us to consider the lilies of the field and the birds of the air.
Help us not to stockpile treasures from supermarkets in the barns of our larders!
Don’t let fear cause us to overlook the needs of others more vulnerable than ourselves
Fix our eyes on your story and our hearts on your grace.
Help us always to hold fast to the good and see the good in others.
And remember there is just one world, one hope,
One everlasting love, with baskets of bread for everyone.
In Jesus we make our prayer,
The one who suffered, died and was raised to new life.
In whom we trust, these days and all days. Amen

The Methodist Church has launched a Year of Prayer online to help bring more people to faith. For further details click hereYear of Prayer.
