Acts 29 … 2019 District Youth Event

The District Youth Event, Acts 29, will take place on Saturday 23 February 2019 at Bicester Methodist Church. The event will run from 2.30pm  – 7.30 pm.





Saturday 2nd March

A study day on Paul on led by Dr Jonathan Norton, Senior Lecturer in Biblical studies at Heythrop College.
Didcot Methodist Church

The first half of the day will focus on key passages from Romans 5-8; I Corinthians 6, 10 and 15; and Galatians 5.
There will be a break for lunch – tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own packed lunch.
The afternoon session will follow a similar pattern (presentation/discussion and feedback) but will focus on the different sorts of groups Paul evangelised and how he balanced difference and equality within the people of God.
It is expected that the afternoon to finish at ~3 pm.

Are you a Methodist who enjoys art?

Then come along and meet the team behind the Wondering Soul Exhibition … and learn about the opportunities the exhibition will bring during one of two planning and preparation sessions.

Join us we take a look at the art that will be coming to Leicester, get a sneak peak of the special events and talks that you will be able to attend, and talk to the team about how you, and your church can make the most of the exhibition.

There will also be an opportunity to go on a tour of the venues and see the beautiful buildings that will be hosting the collection. To join one of the tours please arrive one hour earlier than the start time.

Circuit Event – How do we help our church to grow?
Sunday 10th March hat Brackley Methodist Church from 3pm

A chance to consider the twin themes of evangelism and discipleship … led by Maggie Gill and Paul Kybird.

For much of the last 23 years Maggie has been with Jackie Pullinger’s organization, St Stephens’ Society, living and working among the poor and broken in Hong Kong and mainland China. She is now based again in the UK, but travels regularly to parts of Asia, where she helps train and mentor leaders and helpers working with the poor.

Paul worked as Training and Development Officer and District Development Enabler for the London District of the Methodist Church from 2000, and has recently retired from his role as Development Worker at Nuneaton Methodist Church.

All are welcome to join us. A tea will be served at 4pm and this will be followed by an evening service at 5pm during which we will welcome Paul as a newly accredited preacher in the circuit.
